This entry was written by Kelly for her myspace blog. Myspace was stripping the photo links out for some reason, so we posted it here instead:
So John and I decided to build a house in Independence, KY, where people can actually drive, hopefully. We've been going everyweek to check out the progress and this week they really busted it out, and we're very excited so i thought we'd share!
Week 1: The place looked more like a mine field that a house:

Yo, I'm not dead
(That's what EVERYONE says when they make a post after an extended break)
It's been over a year since I've last posted, and well longer since I've posted anything of note. Anyways, a lot has changed since last anyone heard from me via LJ. Kelly and I live in Cincinnati now, and we're engaged. Getting married in September - I've seriously never been more excited in my life. I work at GE-Aviation, and it's somewhat stressful, but definitely not boring. Kelly and I are going this weekend to look at houses, we're planning to build...probably in Northern KY. It stressful, but exciting. I never thought I'd be so happy to grow up, but I'm definitely digging it.

My desktop is screwed. I know I had virtumonde at some point, but all the removal tools say it's gone now, though I can't be sure because running Ad-aware crashes my computer now. anyone know a good way to get rid of viruses, spyware, let me know...

according to this test, when compared with famous people I'm right between Adam Sandler and Martin Luther King Jr. I'd say I'm pretty cool with that...

This is not great news to start the day out with...
Dearest Listener,
After seven years of extensive touring in support of three records (seventeen years as a band), we've decided to take a break of indefinite length at the end of 2007 to preserve the environment we've sought so hard to create and to pursue other interests. It has been a pleasure to write, record, and perform for you through the years and we'd like to heartily thank you for your invaluable contribution to our musical lives.
Yours,
Nickel Creek (Sean, Sara, and Chris)
I really need to see them one more time, cuz I'd say this is it for them

this journal entry will contain no valuable content. Scratching one's balls feels awesome. The topic in that last sentence was suggested by Kelly.
So, there's a ridiculous amount of great TV these days. Most notably, "So You Think You Can Dance" That show has me hooked like none other. Also, I'm very into Monday Night Raw these days as well.
If the abstract I'm writing at work gets accepted, I get to go to a conference in Hawaii in April...and I presented at this year's conference, so it should be all good. I also get to go to Orlando in Feb. to present at a conference. Free trips to warm places rock.
This entry is worthless, and now I'm going to bed.

So, I'm gonna buy a DS lite this afternoon. Any good game suggestions? I'm definitely getting New Super Mario Bros, but I haven't decided on anything else yet.

I don't update so much these days, and this one will be short...
Saw Nickel Creek at Moonlite Gardens in Cinci on Wed. night, it rained off an on throughout the show, but that actually made it even better. I'm pretty sure that was the best Nickel Creek show I've been to. Moonlite Gardens is a really great place to see a show.
Yesterday, ventured to Riverbend for the Jimmy Buffett show. It was roughly 5 minutes after unpacking the car that Doug hooked up the blender to the car battery...tight. Partied in the parking lot for 6 hours of so, then ventured into the show. I think it was better last year, but that's probably mostly because I got a RIDICULOUS headache about halfway through the set. He closed with "He Went to Paris" which was freaking awesome. Other than that, the details are pretty fuzzy. Luckily I yakked before going to sleep, so this morning I felt awesome.
Finally got the new KMK album in the mail today, and from the first three listens, it's tight. But I'm sure that you're all shocked by me claiming that. They even sent a free decal with it, that's going in the back windshield tomorrow.
Now to go pick up the girlfriend who just got back from Florida.

I don't really use this thing much anymore. I'm sitting at my desk at work, and I should probably be using this downtime to work on my program for Boundary Elements, but I don't quite feel like it. The past few weeks have seen my emotional state of stress vary like a sine wave. In general, it's due to my own procrastination and resulting disappointment in my progress. My classes make me feel like a huge nerd for how interesting I find some of the subject matter. I suddenly don't mind programming as much as I used to...probably because FORTRAN .gt. C++. Got some good news yesterday, but it's not official yet, so I won't go into it...it's not really all that important to anyone else anyway. Next week will mark the 6th time that I've failed to go anywhere for Spring Break. Tonight there's a new episode of The O.C. finally...it better be a good one. I haven't been bowling on anything remotely resembling a regular basis for quite a while now, strangely I haven't really missed it. Taste of Chaos is next Friday in Dayton...still can't decide if I want to go, though I'd love to see Atreyu again. I should probably at least pretend to do some work now...

Hot Karl is pretty much my favorite rapper right now. If you spit over Hall & Oates' Maneater, you're tight.

I'm no longer driving the Lumina. It's so weird to have a car that I know will always move when I hit the accelerator.
Ate good food at home last night and today, brought plenty back to continue to eat throughout the week, awesome.
Grizzly Man is one of the worst things I've ever seen in my life. Seriously, I only watched the first half, because I honestly couldn't take anymore. If the movie was supposed to make me feel sorry for that idiot, it failed miserably. And the movie itself wasn't even put together well. Awful, completely.

Life is pretty much great right now.
I'm getting a new car...well, new to me...the Lumina's transmission is definitely on it's last legs. It made it 15 years, and 184,000+ miles, I'd say that's pretty good.
Classes this semester are interesting, but are gonna require a good deal of work.
Ducktales for the NES is still a great game
Battletoads is still impossible
I've been spending a lot of time recently with a girl who's totally awesome
I recently got a copy of the Original Broadway Cast Soundtrack to Rent, and I can't stop listening to it.
Joe's having a party this weekend, so I'll likely be getting stupid
Cherry Runts are freakin' awesome

OK, the internet is currently failing me. Does anyone know where I can find the video for Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) by Journey? I'm looking in your direction Josh B...
